What Integrators Need to Know About iRidi KNX IP Interface, i3 KNX, and KNX Home Server

Dear Partners and Integrators,

We would like to inform you about planned lifecycle changes affecting iRidi KNX solutions.

These changes are related to the ongoing development of the company’s product strategy and updates to the product portfolio. We are announcing the key dates in advance so that you can plan your current and future projects accordingly and take the support timelines into account.

🔹 The first change concerns the iRidi KNX IP Interface device.

Sales of the iRidi KNX IP Interface will be discontinued effective June 1, 2026.

This will not affect any previously completed projects:

  • technical support for the device will continue;
  • warranty service will remain available under the standard terms;
  • all devices that have already been installed and are currently in operation will continue to be supported by iRidi.

Previously completed projects will continue to operate as usual. No additional action is required from integrators or customers. The iRidi team remains available to assist with any questions related to the operation of the device.

🔹 We would also like to inform you about planned lifecycle changes affecting i3 KNX and KNX Home Server.

Until December 31, 2029, these products will remain available to order and may continue to be used in projects, provided that the announced lifecycle timelines are taken into account.

Effective January 1, 2030, sales of KNX Home Server and the i3 KNX application will be discontinued.

Until December 31, 2031, the products will continue to be supported by iRidi. This means that service updates for the application and server will continue to be released, bugs will be fixed, the solutions will remain operational, and technical support will continue to be available to partners and customers.

However, the functional development of i3 KNX and KNX Home Server has already been completed. No new features, capabilities, or major functional updates will be released for these products.

What Does This Mean for Integrators?

Existing projects will continue to be serviced as usual. For previously completed projects, you can contact iRidi technical support in the same way as before.

When planning new projects, we recommend taking into account the sales and support timelines, as well as the fact that no further functional development is planned for i3 KNX and KNX Home Server.

Should you need assistance in selecting a solution for a new project, the iRidi team will help you choose an up-to-date configuration from the current product portfolio, taking into account the requirements of the site, the system architecture, and the customer’s specifications.

Thank you for your trust, your long-standing cooperation with iRidi, and for using our solutions in your projects.

“Alaska”: A New Meeting Space on iRidi

This year, a new meeting space called “Alaska” opened — a venue that combines the functions of a conference room and a showroom.

The space can be used for in-person and remote meetings, demonstrations, presentations, and events. It is equipped with an LED screen, a projector, a motorized projection screen, retractable monitors, a videoconferencing system, a conference system, PTZ cameras, audio equipment, AV over IP switching for transmitting audio and video signals over an IP network, and a room booking system. Special attention was also paid to the room acoustics: the use of dedicated acoustic materials improved speech intelligibility and made communication more comfortable.

The multimedia system and room automation in “Alaska” are controlled using an iRidi solution.

The project features the iRidi PX-VP100-Advanced AV control processor. It provides centralized control of the installed equipment, primarily via Ethernet, as well as through built-in RS-232, RS-485, and IR ports.

Room automation is based on iRidi Bus77 Pro. The system controls lighting, motorized curtains, and climate control. The project includes relays, dimmers, DALI gateways, and universal inputs.

For end users, control is provided via the iRidi P10 touch panel. It allows users to launch scenarios, manage multimedia functions, switch signal sources, and change display layouts. The interface is organized into dedicated tabs, making even a complex meeting space easy and convenient to operate.

As a result, iRidi brings AV equipment, lighting, curtains, climate control, and room scenarios together in a single integrated control system.

This project clearly demonstrates why modern meeting spaces need more than just equipment. They need a well-designed control system that makes complex AV infrastructure simple, fast, and intuitive for the user, without requiring daily involvement from technical staff.

Best wishes,
iRidi team
